Differentiated instruction refers to a variety of classroom practices that allow for differences in students' learning styles, interests, prior knowledge, and socialization needs. Benjamin, a trainer in English language arts and DI, shows teachers how to advance their teaching skills by marshalling technology, mostly computer technology, to meet the different needs of students in middle school and high school. With two introductory chapters on DI, the book can be used by teachers with no prior DI experience, but it is not meant to be a primer on using technology in the classroom.
