The sixth edition of Canadian Politics continues the work of earlier editions in offering a comprehensive introduction to Canadian government and politics by a widely recognizedand highly respected group of political scientists, writing on subjects on which they are recognized experts.

The book has been reorganized into six sections, and includes nine new chapters with eight new contributing authors. The first section examines Canadian citizenship and politicalidentities, while sections two and three deal with Canadian political institutions, including Aboriginal governments, the public service, and Quebec. Sections four and five shift thefocus to the political process, discussing issues pertaining to culture and values, parties and elections, media, groups, movements, gender, and diversity. Finally, chapters in thelast section of the book analyze components of Canadian politics that have been gaining prominence in the last decade.
