In January 2007, the Belgian inter-university working group Institutum Iudaicum initiated a symposium at the Catholic University of Leuven in order to take stock of the current study of Rabbinics and the New Testament. Scholars from across Europe gathered and discussed methodology in Rabbinic studies, halakhah, midrash, and other materials.
