Fred Brown is an adjunct instructor in communication ethics at the University of Denver and a principal in a Denver-based media training and consulting firm. He is a former national president of the Society of Professional Journalists and former chair of its ethics committee. He worked nearly 40 years as a reporter and editor at The Denver Post and still writes a Sunday editorial page column for the paper.
