Clements (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) begins with an introduction to the traditional and revised classifications of aedine mosquitos and explains why he has adopted the revised classification. The chapter numbering in this third volume picks up where volume 2 left off, starting with chapter 41 and ending with chapter 46. Coverage encompasses host/parasite interactions, immune response of mosquitoes, viruses, arboviruses--characteristics and concepts, case studies of transmission, and pathogenic and symbiotic bacteria.
