This volume records the growth of The Corning Museum's premier glass collection in the 1990s. The detailed color reproductions illustrate about 200 objects created over a period of 2,000 years, from the last few centuries B.C. to the present. The tableware, mosaics, jewelry, stained glass, lighting devices and furniture represent a wide variety of ancient and Islamic, European, American, and art nouveau treasures, some of which were acquired by the museum as gifts.
