Building on the foundational material presented in his 1994 book, Frequency Design Synthesizer Handbook, Crawford (Sequoia Communications Corporation, "a fabless RF semiconductor company") expands his coverage of topics germane to phase-lock systems, which are used to synthesize pristine carrier signals in the RF radio portion of digital communications hardware and for carrier and time recovery processing in the baseband digital signal processing, among other applications.
