A critique of International Committee of the Red Cross's (2005) Study of Customary International Humanitarian Law by Dinestein (human rights, Tel Aviv U.) is the starting point for this yearbook. Domb (law, Tel Aviv U.) reviews judgments of the Supreme Court of Israel relating to the legality of the administered territories. Eleven other contributions treat terrorists and insurgents in Iraq, the law of self-determination, and updates of the San Remo Code of Conduct in Non-International Armed Conflict. The volume also includes a table of referenced treaties, and color guide to protective symbols. Some material is drawn from recent conferences at the U.S. Naval War College and Institute of International Humanitarian Law. Martinus-Nijhoff is an imprint of Brill.
