Beginning with President Bush's 2002 memorandum on the "Humane Treatment of Al Qaeda and Taliban Detainees," Dinstein (emeritus, Tel Aviv U.) has compiled international perspectives on human rights in the current "war on terror." Focusing primarily on the war in Afghanistan, contributors treat issues concerning the application of international humanitarian law.
