Management consultant and writer Drucker (1909-2005) assembled this third collection of essays, written between 1972 and 1980, on what he called social ecology. They particularly focus on institutions through which people attempt to realize values, traditions, and beliefs and through which educated Americans gain access to livelihoods, careers, and social standing.
