For academics, college students, researchers, and policymakers, Fayolle (entrepreneurship, EM Lyon and the CERAG Laboratory, France, and Solvay Business School, Belgium) and Kyrö (entrepreneurship education, Helsinki School of Economics, Finland) assemble 14 chapters by business, economics, entrepreneurship, and mathematical engineering scholars from Europe who examine the relationship between entrepreneurship, society, and education there. They discuss how the dynamics between entrepreneurship and environment have expanded and diversified, as well as structures, systems, and processes, considering such as topics as the intersection between national, professional, and corporate culture, and public entrepreneurship. The subsequent section deals with the dynamics between entrepreneurship and education, and integrating entrepreneurship into governmental support and education systems, with studies of different countries. The final section addresses how a culture-specific and globally oriented approach changes the activities and developmental needs of firms, in terms of growth, competitiveness, the tourism industry, and family business. Chapters are based on papers presented at the third European Entrepreneurship Summer Universities group meeting held in Finland in 2005. Annotation ©2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
