Assolutamente fantastico,un vero classico. Soddisfacente dal punto di vista narrativo e descrittivo. Assolutamente da leggere.
Emma Roualt, il cui temperamento sognatore è stato nutrito dalle letture romantiche dell'adolescenza, è delusa dal rapporto con il marito Charles Bovary, modesto medico di provincia. Dopo essersi impegnata in rapporti con altri uomini, vive sfortunate vicende che la porteranno al suicidio.
