This study addresses an internationally famaous death row case in the USA, and its tevevision news coverage. The accused is African American journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal now in his fifties, who is nearing three decades in prison. The news media coverage is examined by means of a very searching and systematic analysis of a pivotal 20/20 ABC Television documentary on the case.
