After an explanatory section on the different methods, they arrange the book by types of disease: those of the organs, infectious diseases, and cancer. For each are listed complementary treatments involving nutrition, herbs, and acupuncture, among others. Each recommendation is referenced, and the chemical make up of all treatments is given.
