Robert Gunn is a lecturer in social policy and social work at the University of York, UK. He is a former probation officer and qualified social worker, and was closely associated with third sector organizations in a community development role.

Chris Durkin is associate director of the Northampton Institute of Urban Affairs based at the University of Northampton, UK. He is a registered social worker and has worked for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and the probation service. His interests in social enterprises are linked to community development and stakeholder engagement.
