Hamilton, a current faculty member at the U. of Toledo College of Law, uses her experiences as a police officer, corrections officer and court clerk to analyze the importance of expert testimony during domestic violence cases. In this study, the author introduces feminist and social constructivist theories and shows how they relate to critical legal discourse. She then shows law students and criminologists how expert testimony can influence judicial knowledge.
