This color-illustrated book/DVD package for medical students, residents, physiotherapists, general practitioners, and other health professionals is written in an accessible style with a bit of humor. The first part of the book provides an overview of the nervous system and explains key aspects of the neurological examination. A clinical problem solving approach for students and non-neurologist clinicians is presented, with accompanying worksheets for analyzing neurological problems, which can be applied to nine cases of a fictional family afflicted with a wide range of autoimmune, neoplastic, degenerative, and genetic disorders. Each case contains information on clinical data extraction, relevant neuroanatomy, etiology, diagnosis, treatment, management, and outcome. Section III covers neurorehabilitation and presents five ethics case studies. The art program offers high-quality color neuroanatomical drawings, color dissection photos, and radiographic, EEGS, microscopic, and other diagnostic images. The companion DVD contains worksheets and all of the color illustrations from the book, plus animations of various pathways, reflexes, and circuits, and a neuroimaging primer on CT and MRI sequences.
