Published in conjunction with a exhibition of her work in Santa Clara U. this memoir recounts the story of Hisako Hibi's life, beginning with her birth in a Japanese farming village, her immigration to the US at age 14; to her three-and-a-half year incarceration in internment camps for Japanese-Americans, and her life afterwards. The main focus of the book is Hibi's role as wife, mother of two, and artist, inside California and Utah internment camps.
