He concentrates on students of agriculture and horticulture, but the material should be appropriate for students of any life science who have never used statistics before. After reading the book, he says, students should be able to plan an experiment that will provide valid data that can be meaningfully analyzed, identify an appropriate statistical technique, appreciate the assumptions and limitations of the chosen method of data analysis, and produce valid interpretation of the data analysis.
