Jones has had a long career--more than three decades--in law enforcement and forensic investigation and now manages the forensic science lab and teaches graduate courses at Purdue U. He wrote this text as a practical "how to" guide to photographing fingerprints, wounds, bodies, blood spatter, footwear impressions, and other crime scene evidence, including information on using lighting so that the story is fully told in the images. He emphasizes, also, what needs to be documented in writing so that the images are acceptable in the courts. All of this is covered in the text and illustrated with an abundance of photos.
