Revising his Ph.D. dissertation in international law for Macquarie University, Australia (no date cited), Leary focuses on the sustainable management specifically of deep-sea hydrothermal vent ecosystems, and does not consider other ecosystems in the deep sea that are also subject to bioprospecting, though some of his discussion might apply in such contexts.
