Whatcom Museum guest curator Martin has researched and collected the works of Bellingham's Elizabeth Colborne, one of the most accomplished artists active in Washington state during the first half of the 20th century. This book features many full color photos of her sketches, crayon drawings, children's book illustrations, and especially, multiblock color woodcuts featuring Pacific Northwest forest and mountain scenes. In some cases, Martin shows several different colored versions of the same block print.
