The CiP data shows Michadlsson (women's and children's health, Uppsala U.) and Ho (Pediatrics, Imperial College, Britain) as editors, but in fact they wrote the concise guide themselves. Rather than trying to treat mammals comprehensively, they focus on a few main groups, mostly domestic animals pets and livestock and experimental animals mice, rats, and rabbits; humans are not included. They begin with a comparison of normal heart anatomy among the groups, then survey the various congenital heart defects observed in each group. The photographs are in black and white.
