Thirty-six articles--many quite brief--are collected in this volume on organic and inorganic chemistry. Topics range as broadly as the structural behavior of composite materials, antioxidants, and the flammability of polymeric materials. Articles are drawn from four conferences held in June and July of 2007: the First All-Russia Scientific and Technical Conference, "Nanostructures in Polymers and Polymeric Nanocomposites," and the Third All-Russia Scientific Conference, "New Polymeric Composite Materials," in Nalchik, Russia; the Thirteenth International Conference for Renewable Resources and Plant Biotechnology in Poznan, Poland; and the Ninth International Conference on Frontiers of Polymers and Advanced Materials, in Krakow, Poland. Grammar and spelling errors riddle the text; it is obvious that the editors and some of the contributors do not speak English as their first language and that the text was poorly edited. The editors' credentials are not provided. Contributors work in physics, engineering, and other fields in Russia, Germany, the US, and Iran.
