To top things off, Kate's budding romance with a guy she met on the soccer field is hotly opposed by her children.
When a tragedy occurs at the Alan B. Shepard High School, it is counselor Kate who finds herself in need of counsel. What she does next catapults her and her family down an unfamiliar road, on a trajectory toward understanding, forgiveness, and healing.
