Dutta (communication, Purdue U.) presents a study of how otherwise silenced populations are finding new ways through collective action, social media, and cultures of resistance to express their discontent. She examines communicative processes, practices and frameworks from around the world where people have been rising up against neoliberalism, while offering alternative rationalities that include mechanisms for social change.
