He also includes stories of the native peoples, abandoned mining camps, massive glaciers, expanses of alpine tundra, and enlightening explanations of pingoes, eskers, and suspect terranes." All still true. The updated edition contains 31 driving itineraries, each with a clear full-page map delineating the route, which range in length from a few hours to several days.
