Expanding lectures he delivered in Vienna in 2004-2006, Neretin (mathematics U. of Vienna and Moscow State U. and Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Moscow) describes Gaussian integral operations as they appear in analysis, probability theory, and mathematical physics, both the classical examples such as the Fourier transform and more generally such as Fock spaces and the Zak transform. He also presents a non-orthodox introduction to the classical groups, and an exposition of the Weil representation, which is closely related to Gaussian integral operators.
