The final report of the ADVISOR project proposes the integrated deliberative decision processes (IDDP) framework for evaluating river basin planning. It presents a protocol for quality assurance by extended peer review, a combined cost benefit analysis and cost effectiveness analysis framework for flood protection, and new models of environmental valuation that incorporate ethical variables and social drivers. Three case studies test the usefulness of scenario workshops, mediated modeling, and social multi-criteria analysis in encouraging stakeholder participation.
