Ousager, who is not further identified, asks what Roman philosopher Plotinus (204-70) considered an individual, and whether he thought the individual is determined for free. He argues that Plotinus is presenting an updated, systematic interpretation of certain patterns in Plato's thought, an interpretation that is neither unintelligible nor unintelligent.
