This small book features 101 historical images of Long Island's North Shore, documenting the people, places, historic structures and recreational pursuits of the area over the last 150 years. Panchyk is a local historian and author, and he has collected these photographs to represent most of the communities within Nassau and Suffolk counties, ranging from an image of Teddy Roosevelt and his family posing at their home in Oyster Bay to one of the first flying boats landing in Manhasset bay in 1917.
