Digital Cognitive Technologies is an inter-disciplinary book which assesses the sociotechnical impact of the numerous Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), which lie at the heart of the so-called "Knowledge Society" or "Knowledge Economy".

The book addresses eight major issues, analyzed by authors writing from both a Human and Social Science (HSS) as well as a Science and Technology (S&T) perspective. The contributions explore whether and how ICTs are changing our perception of time, space, social structures and networks, document writing and dissemination, sense-making and interpretation, cooperation, politics and the dynamics of collective activity (socio-informatics).
