The 14 chapters in this volume explain the Clinical Care Classification (CCC) system Version 2.0 and its rationale, as well as how to use the terminologies in the computerized plan of care and clinical documentation applications for nursing. Version 2.0 consists of the CCC of Nursing Diagnoses and Outcomes and the CCC of Nursing Interventions and Action Types. Chapters are presented as stand alone units and summarize the system and the study from which it developed. They also cover research, integration, and evaluation, including testimonies from users, and terminology uses. One chapter consists of an annotated bibliography of research and evaluation studies reported by informatics experts. The final chapter contains the framework and terminology and care component tables. Contributors work in nursing, clinical informatics, and other fields in the US.
