E-government attempts to solve many problems of existing democratic structures in public services. However, existing literature suggests that the failure rate of e-government project implementation is also very high. The book presents different types of frameworks for guiding e-government development and implementation. It highlights the inhibitors and facilitators of e-government implementation, explores the effect of e-governance on rural development, describes useful technologies and cases, and presents the views of practitioners in the developed and developing world.
