The moral and social philosophy of Confucius is an intrinsic element of the Chinese national character. Through these books he sought to help the West better understand China. His original texts of The Master’s thoughts are collected here and through them the reader will come to a better understanding not only of ancient China, but that of the contemporary nation as well.
